ACSM Elects Thompson as Vice President
Walt Thompson, Regents’ Professor of Kinesiology and Health and Associate Dean for Graduate Studies and Research in the College of Education & Human Development, has been elected Vice President of the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM). ACSM is the largest sports medicine and exercise science organization in the world. ACSM is dedicated to advancing and integrating scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine. The mission of ACSM is to advance and integrate scientific research to provide educational and practical applications of exercise science and sports medicine. ACSM has 45,000 members and certified professionals from 90 countries around the globe representing 70 occupations within the sports medicine field.
